Prerequisites

Install lz4 on your server:

sudo apt install lz4

Download and unarchive snapshot (target) - Binaries

Stop op-node, op-geth, wipe the db and download/extract the new database:

sudo systemctl stop op-node.service
sudo systemctl stop op-geth.service

sudo rm -rf /data/optimism/geth/chaindata
sudo rm -rf /data/optimism/geth/transactions.rlp
sudo rm -rf /data/optimism/geth/lightchaindata

sudo curl -o - -L <https://prd-minato-s3-l2-snapshot.s3.ap-northeast-1.amazonaws.com/2025-01-03/minato-snapshot.tar.lz4> | sudo tar -I lz4 -x -C /data/optimism/geth/

After successfully copying all data you can restart your node:

sudo systemctl stop op-node.service
sudo systemctl stop op-geth.service

Download and unarchive snapshot (target) - Docker

Stop op-node, op-geth, wipe the db and download/extract the new database:

sudo docker compose -f docker-compose.yml down

sudo rm -rf op-geth-storage/_data/geth/chaindata
sudo rm op-geth-storage/_data/geth/transactions.rlp
sudo rm -rf op-geth-storage/_data/geth/lightchaindata

sudo curl -o - -L <https://prd-minato-s3-l2-snapshot.s3.ap-northeast-1.amazonaws.com/2025-01-03/minato-snapshot.tar.lz4> | sudo tar -I lz4 -x -C op-geth-storage/geth/

After successfully copying all data you can restart your node:

sudo docker compose -f docker-compose.yml up -d
